The Words of Agur
1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spoke unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
| 1 These things says the man to those who trust in God; and I cease. | 1 These things says the man to those who trust in God; and I cease. |
2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and haven’t the understanding of a man.

| 2 For I am the most simple of all men, and there is not in me the wisdom of men. | 2 For I am the most simple of all men, and there is not in me the wisdom of men. |
3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.

| 3 God has taught me wisdom, and I know the knowledge of the holy. | 3 God has taught me wisdom, and I know the knowledge of the holy. |
4 Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? who has gathered the wind in his fists? who has bound the waters in a garment? who has established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if you can tell?

5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto those who put their trust in him.

15 The horseleach has two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yes, four things don’t say, It is enough:
